Who we are

This website is run by Constantine Karayannis on behalf of the families of Nicola Karayannis, to share updates about the Nicola Karayannis Fellowship at University College London Hospitals and to support fundraising for it.

This website is not operated by University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust or by UCLH Charity. Donations are made to and held by UCLH Charity, who handle donor information under their own privacy policy.

What we collect and why

If you sign up for updates, we collect your email address, and your name if you choose to give it. We use this only to send occasional emails about the Fellowship — a few times a year at most.

If you contact us by email, we hold your message and email address so we can reply.

We do not collect any other personal information through this site. We do not process payments here — if you donate, you do so through UCLH Charity's own systems, and we do not see or hold your payment details.

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent. You give it by entering your email address and confirming your subscription through the verification email we send. You can withdraw it at any time, and doing so does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Who has access to your information

Our mailing list is held by Squarespace, who provide this website and its email service and act as our data processor. They do not use your information for their own purposes.

We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone else. We do not share it with UCLH, UCLH Charity, or any other organisation, unless we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and we remove it promptly when you do. If we have not sent an update for three years, we will delete the list.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email us at [email address] and we will respond within one month.

To unsubscribe, use the link at the bottom of any email we send, or email us and we will remove you.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies — the small files a website needs to function, set by Squarespace to keep the site working properly and securely as you move between pages. They do not identify you personally and they are not used for advertising or tracking.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the site to work, we do not ask for your consent to them, and there is no banner to click. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any other non-essential cookies.
